ncse hosted two symposia between January 2005 and December 2007. The first of these was called 'Going Digital' and was held at Birkbeck, University of London on Saturday 25 February 2006. The second was called 'Digitising Journalism' and was held at the Centre for Computing in the Humanities at King's College London on Saturday 24 February 2007. Below you will find details of the speakers at each of the symposium and versions of the papers that were delivered.

2006 Symposium: Going Digital

This one day symposium, held at Birkbeck, University of London on Saturday 25th February 2006, discussed the ncse project and the wider field of digital scholarship. The aim of the symposium was to converse with a small group of informed people in the field who were either current producers of digital projects and / or potential users of ncse. 2007 Symposium: Digitising Journalism

This one day symposium, held at Centre for Computing in the Humanities, King's College London on Saturday 24th February 2007, addressed issues around the digitisation of the press and gave delegates an opportunity to participate in the first ncse user testing workshop.
